Strasbourg

After the end of the summer course, Wang Tong (China) and I decided to go to Strasbourg after a fellow coursemate, Jeff told us how much fun he had there the weekend before. We got the BW ticket and set off early Thursday morning taking the 6.38am train. then at 8, we got kicked out of the train at Immendingen. (note the timing on the clock) BW ticket can ONLY be used from 0900 onwards!!!!! argh... so, Wang Tong and i strayed around Immendingen for 2 hours in the rain and cold, before we caught the next train at 0927, heading to Offenburg.

At Immendingen, clock reads 0810.
Wang Tong and i at Offenburg. Had to wait 1 hour for the train to Strasbourg.
and finally, we arrived. It was supposed to be a 3.5 hour journey. i think we took about 5 hours? but it is ok! company was good. Please don't be fooled by her size. This little girl is 25. She is a little big sister to me.. streets of strasbour. so different from germany streets.
we needed to fill our water bottles. so we asked someone where we could find water... he told us to get it from this tap.
this girl is typical of stasbourg. not sure about the history tho.. but it is all over the streets in postcards and stuff.
and we saw a very ugly dog. it was SOOOO wrinkled!!!!
and a ginormous dog. i was so scared i was standing so far!
and then, we went to take the boat ride..
some views during the ride..
urm.. can't remember the name of this church. i am such a lousy tourist...
we took the open air boat. this is the aircon one..
ARTE office. from wiki, Arte (Association Relative à la Télévision Européenne) is a Franco-German TV network, which aims to promote quality programming related to the world of arts and culture.
the EU Parliament..
the Cathedral.. we climbed up to the platform above.. 392 steps i think. i was shaking with fear... but it was nice. and yes! i sent my second mail. to who??? don't tell u. and finally, we were heading home.

it was so funny.. we were hanging around outside the train cos we were like trying to predict which carriage the conductor will go on. there were to carriages which were not connected. we were really worried, cos we didn't get a ticket for the portion of our ride from germany to france. the bw ticket could only bring us to kehl, the last stop before the train heads for france. we were to get a 7€ ticket for the one stop. Heng Heng, we never get caught... the conductor boarded the train after we entered germany. =)

yup yup.. that is all for Strasbourg. got alot more pics.. but too many to upload lah. wat to do?? u put two girls together for one whole day, got camera, sure start taking photos like siao. the rest of u in sgp, do take care!
